Marvin Intro FinalMeet Marvin!
My name is Marvin Logan Jr and I hail from Warren, OH. I joined the Usher’s New Look program in 2006 upon a chance meeting and conversation with Mr. Usher Raymond himself at a New Look mini conference in Milwaukee, WI. I joined New Look because I saw a way to enhance myself to be a servant to the world. I knew New Look could help me make the world a better place.
Before New Look
Before UNL, I didn’t know how I could make a difference. When I came into New Look my father andMarvin Before UNL Final I were struggling just to make it after he lost his retirement benefits. I was struggling to find my place and balance my life. I always dreamed that I could change the world and leave a mark. Today, I am a first generation college student.
My New Look
My “New Look” is I just became Student Body President at Kent State University! I am a fearless leader ready to take the world by storm. I’ve learned how to channel my energy and organize my thoughts in an effective way. I’ve been able to sit in a room and provide feedback and ideas with executives from some of the best companies in the world. This summer, I was even able to intern at General Electric Headquarters. New Look has taught me exactly how I can change the
world. Whether the globe, or the world of Kent State University, I can make a difference anywhere.
Marvin My Future FinalMy Future
My future goals are to continue my education at UCLA in their Afro-American Studies M.A. and eventually pursue my Ph.D. I am currently a Pan African Studies major with minors in Nonprofit Management and Human Development & Family Studies. I plan to continue serving my community through efforts in civic engagement and community development.
