UNL Board Member, Cammie Rice, Hosts Women’s Empowerment Tea Featuring GE’s Beth Comstock

UNL Development Chair, Cammie Rice, hosted a phenomenal women’s empowerment high tea this month at the Mandarin Oriental in Atlanta. Usher’s New Look was honored to be Cammie Rice’s featured nonprofit for the tea, which exposed influential women within Atlanta to Cammie’s history with UNL and our plans for launching the UNL Spark Lab, our first youth center, in Atlanta September 2016. A Silicon Valley-style incubator for youth in Atlanta, the UNL Spark Lab will be the first of it’s kind in the nation for high school students. The tea featured a conversation with GE’s Vice Chair of Innovation Operations & Chief Marketing Officer, Beth Comstock, facilitated by Genevieve Bos, which highlighted Comstock’s journey to becoming a disruptivator: the first-ever female vice chair at GE! She shared her insights into the future of marketing, how she handles work-life balance and how GE is leading innovation at the intersection technology, education and culture. The UNL Spark Lab will be producing the next wave of disruptivators for companies like GE.
