Jordyn Smith serves as the Digital & Creative Marketing Strategist for New Look, creating and maintaining all content for UNL’s online platforms and digital archives. Jordyn graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where she earned her Bachelor’s in History with double minors in Gender Studies and Science, Technology, & Values. Her specialty in each of these studies was on American consumer culture. Her true passion lies in creative marketing strategy with an emphasis on targeting Millennials. Prior to joining New Look, Jordyn worked as the Creative Marketing Intern for TLC Network at Discovery Communications headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. She also led creative marketing and digital strategy while working for the 2013 IMG Sony Tennis Open, Anheuser Busch/Uhaps Media, The University of Notre Dame Reilly Center for Science, Technology and Values, and RFS & Associates entertainment production company. Jordyn is a firm believer in paying it forward, and in 2013 volunteered as the marketing intern and a coach for Girls on the Run, a nonprofit that teaches 3rd and 4th grade girls self-confidence. Her other outside interests include helping friends with their creative branding visions, writing, music and fitness. Her most recent published work is entitled, “Blurring the Lines Among Gender, Politics, and Reality: ‘I Can Be President’ Barbie, Sarah Palin, and the Fantasy of a Female President.” Jordyn is a member of Phi Alpha Theta, National Society of History Scholars and the recipient of the 2013 Notre Dame Frazier Thompson Scholarship Award.
