Milwaukee Youth Job Shadow at Miller Park Stadium

During Camp New Look week, #Milwaukee students from Year One to MIT got a #NewLook inside the big leagues on a job shadow at Brewers Miller Park Stadium. The youth were able to take a full tour of Miller Park from top to bottom and learned about the wide variety of careers offered in the professional sports industry. New Look students experienced jobs of all levels, from grounds keeper to press box official.
A highlight of the day was when the students got to sit in the same dugout seat as Hall of Fame legend, Bob Uecker. Jehad, a year one student at Pulaski High School said, “I would have never thought so much went on in a Baseball stadium. From the tours to the corporate boxes and press row, I was blown away”. Markeita Bratcher, a Sophomore MIT at Marquette University said, “It was an awesome experience. It opened up my views on a possible career in baseball.” Markeevan Washington is now even contemplating a career in sports broadcasting after spending time in the press box and learning about what broadcast journalism entails.

Thank you Brewers & Miller Park for providing our youth with this unique career experience!
