National Volunteer Week 2017


Usher’s New Look and Points of Light are teaming up this National Volunteer Week, April 23-29, 2017.  Find a project near you by searching the many volunteer events happening nationwide at Sign up to volunteer at any of our three Atlanta service projects below, and you just might see our Founder, Usher Raymond IV! 4/27/17  Garden and Painting Beautification Project – 10am – 1pm

Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA | Atlanta, GA

Usher’s New Look is partnering with Andrew & Walter Young Family YMCA for the annual National Service Week! Volunteers will read to YMCA preschool students and participate in painting and gardening around the facility, playground area and Aquaponics Center to aid in the beautification of the YMCA campus.


4/29/17 Youth Garden Education & Beautification Project – 10am – 1pm

Solomon’s Temple | Atlanta, GA

Usher’s New Look is partnering with Solomon’s Temple, a women and children’s shelter, in honor of National Service Week. Volunteers will participate in campus beautification projects such as gardening and playground clean up.


4/29/17 Frontline Family Project with United Way – 11am – 3pm

Pavilion Place Apartments | Atlanta, GA

We will be working to create a community garden for the Pavilion Place Apartment complex. Whether you enjoy building flowerboxes, helping to move mulch and dirt, or working to grow food and flowers, there are opportunities for volunteers of all ages. For safety reasons, please wear closed toe shoes.
