UNL Trains 356 Students in Detroit!

Usher’s New Look peer trainers hosted an exciting week of Powered by Service leadership trainings in Detroit, MI, October 17th through 21st. The trainings served a total of 356 7th through 12th graders at Burton International, Carver Stem, Gompers and the Detroit International Academy of Young Women.

Principal Milner at Gompers told us,

“I was very impressed with the training. I really liked the fact that New Look included a financial literacy piece, which will help the students on the state test called MSTEP.”

New Look’s peer trainers, high school and college students who have matriculated through our program and earned their training certifications, had this to say about the experience,
