Next , they talked about how to apply their passions to a career goal and to their personal brands. Students shared their dream jobs with us on social media:
To learn how to make those dream jobs come to life, students got a lesson on Networking. In Networking 101, students were taught why Networking is so important in brand building and career development.
Graphic designer for the stars, DL Warfield, made special appearances at both schools and shared his story of how he developed his career by building upon his love for drawing, studying art in college and cultivating relationships with those he met along the way. The students had fun getting creative with DL during the ‘How to Start a Sneaker Brand’ group activity lesson. Students were able to have Question and Answer sessions with DL and the New Look team. When one student asked, “What happens if you lose your passion?” DL replied, “You will find a way back to it. If your passion is true, it will always come back to you.”
Overall, the anticipation for the course was tremendous from both students and teachers alike. Keep up to date with us on social media by following the hashtag #MusicLeadership101 on Twitter!
