Usher’s New Look is pleased to honor Atlanta Mayor, Kasim Reed, with the Service Legacy Award for his unwavering commitment to investing in initiatives that support youth education and futures. Mayor Reed has recognized the significant impact that youth after-school programs and recreation centers can have on the overall well-being and positive development of young people. Mayor Reed has taken steps with his ‘Centers for Hope’ initiative to revive and reopen 33 Atlanta recreation centers, as well as cultivate youth leadership programs in Atlanta like Usher’s New Look, which provide hope and opportunity for underserved youth. Mayor Reed has participated in New Look’s Mayor for a Day, Career Exploration, and hosted a Powered By Service training for 75 students at City Hall. We honor Mayor Reed for exemplifying service-minded leadership in all aspects of his work.
