Usher’s New Look Disruptivator Club

Usher’s New Look has been serving youth for 21 years in limited cities across the nation. For years partners have been asking for Usher’s New Look programming to expand to their communities. Through the Disruptivator Club, educators and youth will be able to create an Usher’s New Look chapter in their schools.

As a youth led organization, Usher’s New Look’s Disruptivator Club provides high school students with the opportunity to develop into and grow as leaders, take actionable steps towards their futures, embrace the power of being in service to their communities and become a part of a larger community of global Disruptivators!

What is a Disruptivator?

A person who uses their “SPARK” talents or passions to bring about change in their communities.

 

How Does It Work

  • This is a student led organization where youth are empowered to lead.
  • Students learn through enriching curriculum provided by Usher’s New Look based on the organization’s four pillar approach to curriculum. The four pillars include talent, education, career and service.
  • The curriculum will cover a variety of topics including Health & Wellness, Career Exploration, Art & Music, Financial Literacy, and Social Emotional Learning.
  • Students engage in virtual sessions on a monthly basis via YouTube Live.
  • Students are provided with a minimum of 4 hours of programming monthly and are supplemented with guest speakers, outside activities, service and opportunities to share their talents or “SPARK”.
  • Students will stay connected to the Usher’s New Look Foundation through various touchpoints such as events, community service projects, Spark Days and conferences.
  • Students enrolled in the Disruptivator Club will have an opportunity to attend the Usher’s New Look, Disruptivator Summit, a 2-day creative gathering of forward-thinking youth leaders with a desire to use their “SPARK” to make positive change in the world. To start your Disruptivator Club you will need 4 key components. Once you’ve gotten these components in place, you’re ready to apply for your very own Disruptivator Club chapter! Join Usher’s New Look on our quest to build the next generation of passion-driven, global youth leaders!
